Junior Curling News

29 November 2009 -

The Glooscap Junior program was represented by Gillian Cumby, Breanna Huntley, Tessa Mitchell and Katelyn Mason (5th Jennifer Smith of Berwick) at the regionals play downs this weekend for provincials. The girls faced the defending provincial team champions last evening and a talented team from Chester today. The game today went down to the last rock and our girls were defeated 7-6 by about an inch or less. Quite an ovation followed. While the game last night was quite lop sided, the girls got to spend 2 hours on the ice with the most talented female curlers in our province. These girls were perfect role models for our younger curlers.
